The Cincinnati Flying Pig 5K is a diverse event of the Flying Pig weekend. The 5K brings together athletes of all abilities in one event combining a run/walk, the Hope & Possibility division and the Pump 'N Run under the umbrella of the 5K. 5K Course Map Runner Amenities All preregistered participants will receive a commemorative t–shirt, limited–edition poster, and a goodie bag. All finishers will receive a finisher’s medal. Registration and packet pickup will be held Friday, May 3, 2013 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the P&G Health & Fitness Expo located at the Duke Energy Center, 525 Elm Street, Cincinnati, Ohio . Registration and packet pickup also available on Saturday, May 4, 2013 , at Reds Hall of Fame, Joe Nuxhall Way, beginning at 6:30 a.m. Pump N’ Run participants, pre-race pumping will be held Friday at Duke Energy Center from 12 pm to 2 pm and 5 pm to 8:00 pm, and Saturday at Sawyer Point 7:30 am to 9:15 am. Dress for Success Cincinnati was founded in 1999 and has suited over 10,000 women in the Greater Cincinnati area. Our mission is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help them thrive in work and life. We support these women through our Professional Women’s Group to ensure they have the tools needed to stay employed and develop in the work place. Hope and Possibility The Flying Pig Marathon has partnered with The Resident Home Corporation (RHC) and Achilles International to present the 6th Annual Hope & Possibility 5K Run/Walk as a division of the Tri-State Running Company 5K on Saturday, May 4, 2013. The Hope & Possibility event will offer a unique opportunity for everyone in the Greater Cincinnati area. Our goal is to encourage people of ALL abilities to be a part of a fun event while meeting new friends along the way. The race will pair people with disabilities with people without disabilities on the course. The Hope & Possibility is a run/walk that will break down barriers and create inclusion. Hope & Possibility is a community event that provides the opportunity for nonprofits to raise money. Even if you do not walk in the Hope & Possibility, you can collect donations to support the children and adults supported by RHC. IF YOU WISH TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PUMP N’ RUN YOU MUST REGISTER FOR BOTH THE FLYING PIG EVENT YOU WISH TO RUN AND REGISTER TO DO THE PUMP N' RUN AT THEIR WEBSITE www.pumpandrunrace.com. A “Total Fitness Experience” offered to all 5K participants, which uniquely combines weight lifting and running skills. An athlete will bench press a percentage of their body weight based upon age and gender, and will earn a 30-second reduction off their run-time for each bench press repetition. Cancellation Policy for the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon
Entry fees are non-refundable; race numbers and entries cannot be transferred to another year or person. No exceptions. This means once we have received your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate, or if the event is cancelled because of weather, natural disaster or other unforeseen circumstances. |
